This article entitled: economic transformation processes in Latin America during the nineties. The examples of Argentina and Brazil, is conducting a study about the resurgence of Latin American states against the "lost decade" of the nineties, which was marked by the crisis of the economic model implemented by several countries in Latin America. To address this crisis, the Economic Commission for Latin America (CEPAL) promoted an ideological debate and design proposals from new concept of development policy, giving opening to a stage called neo structuralism in order to implement policies of social transformation and to overcome economic underdevelopment of the region. The development of this research was started from the document prepared by Fernando Fajnzylber, Chilean economist who was who led the institution of ECLAC, to the structuralist neo stage; thus the cases of Argentina and Brazil were taken to concretize the problems put forward. This step definitely influenced significantly to bring the debate to the mat Governments on the need for economic policies to be implemented henceforth not forget universal principles that allow greater social cohesion.
