Abstract

Introduction:

The Covid-19 pandemic affected school activities and could generate stress for teachers.

Objective:

To determine the stress in elementary and middle school teachers in Paraguay in July 2021.

Methodology:

A descriptive and cross-sectional observational design was applied with a virtual survey that contained sociodemographic variables and the Levenstein’s Perceived Stress Questionnaire.

Results:

Four hundred and fifteen responses were recorded in which severe stress was detected in 0.24%, moderate stress in 13.25% and no stress in 86.51%. The dimension with the greatest impact was work overload.

Conclusion:

It is recommended to intervene on the modifiable factors that generate stress in these individuals.
