PERALTA GIMENEZ, Ruth María et al. Cerebellar hemorrhage due to immune thrombocytopenia. Rev. virtual Soc. Parag. Med. Int. [online]. 2020, vol.7, n.2, pp.131-136. ISSN 2312-3893. https://doi.org/10.18004/rvspmi/2312-3893/2020.07.02.131.
Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is a disorder characterized by an increase in the destruction of platelets or a decrease in their production, resulting in low levels of platelets and an increased risk of bleeding. We present the case of a 27-year-old male patient, previously healthy, who came to consultation due to a 48-hour history of appearance of petechiae. During his evolution, he presented cerebellar hemorrhage with acute endocranial hypertension that led him to death despite treatment.
Palabras clave : thrombocytopenic idiopathic purpura; platelets; intracranial hemorrhages.
