Abstract

DAJARO CASTRO, Leonel Alberto et al. Atypical sarcoidosis in a young man with skin ulcers and hipercalcemia. Rev. virtual Soc. Parag. Med. Int. [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.1, pp.134-141.  Epub Mar 01, 2019. ISSN 2312-3893.  https://doi.org/10.18004/rvspmi/2312-3893/2019.06(01)134-141.

Sarcoidosis is an idiopathic systemic inflammatory disease that mainly affects the lungs. Extrapulmonary manifestations occur in approximately 30% of patients. The most common sites of extrapulmonary disease include the skin, eyeballs, reticuloendothelial system, musculoskeletal system, exocrine glands, heart, kidneys, and central nervous system. We present a clinical case of sarcoidosis with involvement of peripheral lymph nodes, renal and cutaneous alterations without pulmonary involvement, which represents a diagnostic challenge due to the absence of the typical characteristics of this pathology.

Keywords : sarcoidosis; hipercalcemia; skin ulcer.
