We present two clinical cases of metabolic syndrome in young patients. One corresponds to a 19-year-old woman and the other to a 30-year-old man. Both consult for different pathologies but through a comprehensive clinical exam, made by the internist, the diagnosis and early treatment of the metabolic syndrome can be performed. The treatment consists in lifestyle change, exercises and adequate diet. To the second case, specific pharmacological treatment is added due to the multi-organ involvement, high cardiovascular risk and development of diabetes mellitus.
