Abstract

Introduction:
The prevention and control of the transmission of COVID-19 is a crucial issue for professionals and future health professionals for the proper management and control of outbreaks of this emerging disease.
Objective:
To determine the knowledge about Biosafety in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic in health interns in Paraguay.
Methodology:
Cross-sectional study applied during the month of August 2020. The survey was conducted online using Google Forms (c) form distributed to participants by sending them to their respective emails.
Result:
986 interns from the health area participated in the study, of which 45.74% (451) were male, with an age of 21.2 ± 1.8 and residing in 56.99% (562) inside the country. The score obtained was 6.01 ±3.67, which suggests a general correct rate of 50.08% (6.01 / 12 * 100).
Conclusion:
Knowledge about biosecurity measures in the context of COVID-19 is low, there is a predominance of the score in males, and those with a history of swabbing for positive SARS COV 2.
