Abstract

RAMIREZ, Andrés  and  AGUILERA, Panambi. Intraabdominal liposarcoma as a cause of intestinal oclusion. Purpose of a clinical case. Cir. parag. [online]. 2021, vol.45, n.2, pp.43-44. ISSN 2307-0420.  https://doi.org/10.18004/sopaci.2021.agosto.43.

In Paraguay, soft tissue tumors represent less than 2% together with other tumors; Of these, sarcomas are rare, with a predilection in older adults from 50 years of age, they arise at the expense of the fatty tissue located in the TCS, specifically from the perirenal fat. They manifest as a slowly growing asymptomatic mass.

We present the case of a 70-year-old man with symptoms of an acute occlusive abdomen that required an emergency exploratory laparotomy, finding a retroperitoneal tumor that compressed the splenic flexure of the colonic frame. Images of the surgical act and the operative piece are attached.
