Abstract

The adenocarcinoma of the small intestine is a rare neoplasm that usually affects adults of age over 60 years and usually debut as an upper intestinal occlusion of unknown cause of difficult evaluation by colonoscopy and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy due to the location of the lesion. The most commonly used diagnostic method is the contrasted Tomography where a mass can be seen and the transition zone between the normal and dilated small intestine above the tumor.
