GRIJALVA-OZAETTA, Valeria; OREJUELA-CABRERA, Fernando y CARRERA-SALGUERO, Layla Andrea. Pulmonary lobectomy of massive hemoptysis in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis: Case Report. Cir. parag. [online]. 2020, vol.44, n.2, pp.28-29. ISSN 2307-0420. https://doi.org/10.18004/sopaci.2020.agosto.28.
Pulmonary resection remains the optimal treatment for massive hemoptysis because of its lower recurrence rate. The objective of the study is to establish appropriate therapeutic indications in patients with sequential pulmonary tuberculosis. A case of a 38-year-old male patient with a history of cavitary disease due to sequential tuberculosis, failed medical treatment and negative sputum was reported. Active bleeding in the right and intermediate primary bronchus graduated in fibrobronchoscopy; it was recommended to perform right pulmonary lobectomy.
