Abstract

SANDOVAL, Jose; HAMUY, Rodrigo; MENDEZ, Elvio  and  ALDANA, Celso. Reconstruction with trapezia flap: alternative for difficult coverage. Cir. parag. [online]. 2020, vol.44, n.1, pp.34-35. ISSN 2307-0420.  https://doi.org/10.18004/sopaci.2020.abril.34-35.

Head and neck reconstruction secondary to tumor resection or trauma are a challenge for the reconstructive surgeon. Currently free flaps are used for the reconstruction of complex defects leaving local flaps as a second option, however, ideal conditions are not always available. We present the case of an adult patient with loss of substance in the left atrulomastoid region and its reconstruction with a trapezius flap.

Keywords : trapezium flap; regional flaps.
