Intraductal papillary mucinous tumor of the pancreas (IPNM) is an entity characterized since 1996 (1); It was initially described by Ohhashi et al. as "mucous secretory pancreatic cancer" differs from other cystic mucinous neoplasms of the pancreas by having direct communication with the Wirsung duct, in addition, the absence of ovarian stroma type (2); It is characterized by the presence of segmental dilatations in the main pancreatic duct or secondary branches, which are covered with mucin-producing dysplastic villus epithelium (3) and cyst formation of the compromised ducts. We will present a case of a patient with a diagnosis of IPMN in which the elective treatment was a conventional cephalic Duodenopancreatectomy.
