A descriptive retrospective cross-sectional observational study was performed on 607 patients operated to determine the incidence of surgical bile duct lesions during the period January 2018 to June 2019 at the Surgery Service of the Central Military Hospital, where patient record data were taken. In terms of sex, age, sex, origin, surgical approach and evolution of the patients operated in said period. They were mostly male patients and the highest percentage were people between 41 and 50 years old. 85% of those operated are from urban areas. As for the type of surgical approach, 11.53% was open and 88.47% by video laparotomy. Regarding evolution, 89.29% were chronic, 9% acute, 0.82 vesicular polyp and only 0.33%. The surgical approach of all these operations was by video laparoscopy, of which 2 patients suffered bile duct lesions, which in this investigation represented 0.33%. One of them suffered an injury of Strasberg type E2 and the other Strasberg type A.
