Abstract

Among malignant tumors of the chest wall, sarcomas account for less than 1% of cases. The fabrication of the dorsal flap in surgeries of sarcomas of the thoracic wall has allowed to complete the resective treatment of these tumors. A 64-year-old male presented with sarcoma of the rib cage, subjected to a wide resection of the lesion that affected the 7th, 8th and 9th ribs, immediate reconstruction with titanium prosthesis, polypropylene mesh and flap made of the latissimus dorsi. Patient presetna satisfactory evolution.
