Resumen

GARCIA-WENNINGER, Miguel; ALDANA-UBILUS, Celso  y  SANDOVAL-PEREZ, José Hernando. “DEFINITIVE RHINOPLASTY IN PATIENTS WITH UNILATERAL LABIOPALATIN FISURA”. Rev. Cir. Parag. [online]. 2019, vol.43, n.1, pp.16-19. ISSN 2307-0420.  https://doi.org/10.18004/sopaci.2019.abril.16-19.

Objectivo:

To present a surgical technique that corrects both nasal alterations in patients with unilateral labiopalatine fissures, both functionally and aesthetically.

Materials and method:

Case series of 4 patients operated on for rhinoseptoplasty with sequelae of unilateral nasolabiopalatine fissure in the national center of burns and reconstructive surgeries between 2016 and 2017.

Results:

The open approach was performed in all patients, the osteotomies were mostly asymmetric, the septuplasty was performed 100%, as well as the placement of a columbular post and Sheen graft (shield type) at the tip in all cases.

Conclusion:

The correct correction of the fissured nose can be achieved taking into account the deep knowledge of the alterations of each patient in particular. Although there is no ideal algorithm, the surgeon must have a mental framework that allows him to treat each case individually, always focusing on two main goals: the correction of asymmetry and function.

Palabras clave : Primary rhinoseptoplasty; unilateral nasolabiopalatine fissure.
