The incidence of Meckel’s diverticulumis 2% in general population. Meckel’s diverticulitis in adults is an un usual complication, clinicallyin distinguishable from an acute appendicitis. We present the case ofa 19-year-old male patient, with perforated Meckel’s diverticulitis, who was admitted with a presumptive diagnosis of generalized peritonitis ofappendicular origin. An exploratory laparotomy was performed, with Meckel’s diverticulum perforated at 60cm from the ileocecal valve. Resection of the affected ileal segment and end-to-end primary anastomosis was performed. Incidental appendectomy. Cavity was hing and closure. The patient evolved with out complication suntil discharge.
