Pancreatic malignant tumors suffers from an unfortunate prognosis. It is accepted that surgical resection is the only treatment that achieves long-term survival; however, at the moment of their diagnosis, only among 10%-20% the patients are candidates for surgery. Without treatment the survival average is from 3 to 6 months. Just 15-20% will benefit from a resection with curative intent at the time of the diagnosis, less than 20% will survive one year, the 5-year overall survival is not more than 3% .
