SUMMARY Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) is an autosomal dominant inherited disease, characterized by the development of adenomatous polyps in the large intestine (over 100), which invariably evolving cancer. Polyps appear after puberty and cancer occurs before age 50, thus requiring early diagnosis and immediate treatment. Total proctocolectomy is the treatment of choice. A series of six cases treated from February 2012 to July 2013 are presented.
