Abstract

LURASCHI, Víctor; LEZCANO, Miguel; RODRIGUEZ, Roberto  and  FIGUEREDO MARIN, Belinda. Quiste coledociano en adultos: formas clínicas de presentación: Choledochal cyst in adults: clinical forms. Rev. Cir. Parag. [online]. 2013, vol.37, n.2, pp.30-32. ISSN 2307-0420.

SUMMARY Choledochal cyst is a rare congenital anomaly difficult to diagnose, particularly in adults. Its incidence ranges from 1 case per 13.000 to 15.000 live births, presenting however a higher prevalence in East Asia. We introduce you a study based on a series of cases registered since 2011 to 2013 at the Hospital Regional de Luque. Of a total of 3 patients, all of them were female. The most common clinical findings were pain and jaundice. None underwent the clinical triad per se. Abdominal ultrasound, ERCP and magnetic resonance cholangiography are important diagnostic tools. The standard treatment consists in total resection of the cyst plus a Roux en Y term-side hepaticojejunal derivation.

Keywords : Choledochal cyst; Jaundice; Cholangiocarcinoma.
