Cobalt (Co) and Molybdenum (Mo) are micronutrients that make up part of the nitrogenase enzyme synthesized by bacteria during the biological process of fixing nitrogen by symbiosis, therefore they are of great importance for the fabaceae family. Although both Cobalt (Co) and Molybdenum (Mo) increase yield, they can affect seed’s physiological performance when used for seeds treatment. The effect of different doses of cobalt and molybdenum treatment on bean and soybean physiological quality was evaluated. Two soybean cultivars - Fundacep 55 RR and BMX Potência RR - and two bean - BRS Esplendor and BRS Campeiro were used. Treatments consisted of varying the Cobalt and Mo doses as follows: T0: control, T1: 50%, T2: 100%, T3: 150% and T4 200% of the recommended dose. Physiological quality of seeds was assessed by the following tests: germination; first count of germination, shoot and root length and shoot and root dry phytomass. Treating soybean seeds  with Co and Mo did not affect seed germination when subjected to doses of up to 506 ml-1 100 kg of seeds. As for bean seeds, their  germination and quality were not affected when  treated  with cobalt and Molybdenum (Mo)  doses of up to 428 ml-1 100 kg of seeds.
