VILLALBA MENDEZ, Alexis Manuel  e  GOMEZ LOPEZ, Víctor Adolfo. Effectiveness of systemic insecticides in the control of wheat pests. Investig. Agrar. [online]. 2011, vol.13, n.2, pp.101-106. ISSN 2305-0683.

Three experiments were installed at the Centro Tecnológico Agropecuario del Paraguay, Alto Paraná Department. There was conducted one experiment for each of three insecticides, using seeds of wheat variety Caninde 2. The experimental design was complete randomized blocks with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The insecticides were acetamiprid 70 with doses of 130, 110 and 90 g / 100 kg of seed, with 150 g of imidacloprid 70 as chemical check; fipronil 25 with doses of 130, 110 and 90 mL / 100 kg of seed, and 150 g / 100 kg of seed of imidacloprid 70 as chemical check; and imidacloprid 60, with doses of 120, 90 and 60 mL / 100 kg of seed, with 100 g / 100 kg of seed of imidacloprid 70 as chemical check. The three experiments had an untreated control. In the experiment with acetamiprid 70, the best control of Diabrotica speciosa and Schizaphis graminun was obtained with a dose of 130 g. In the control of thrips, 25 and 35 days after emergence (DAE), there was low control in treatment 1 (130 g100 kg). In the experiment with imidacloprid 70, the dose of 120 and 90 mL / 100 kg of seed, respectively, were effective in the control of S. graminum. For trips, it was observed a low efficiency. In the experiment with fipronil 25 the doses tested were effective in the control of pests detected, noting greater control with the dose of 130 mL / 100 kg of seed.
