ALONZO GRIFFITH, Luis Alberto  and  PANIAGUA ALCARAZ, Pedro Luis. Effects of agricultural lime doses on productive performance and quality of alfalfa. Investig. Agrar. [online]. 2010, vol.12, n.1, pp.35-39. ISSN 2305-0683.

With the aim to evaluate the effects of different doses of dolomitic lime on the Alfalfa productive behavior and quality (Medicago sativa cv. monarch), the present study was established in a soil of the district of San Ignacio, department of Misiones. It was used a completely random design with five treatments and four repetitions. The treatments were the different doses of dolomitic lime-CaMg (CO3) 2-, T1: 0 kg.ha-1 (witness); T2: 500 kg.ha-1; T3: 1000 kg.ha-1; T4: 1500 kg.ha-1. and T5: 2000 kg.ha-1. The evaluated variables were the height in centimeters to 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, 105 and 120 days after the sowing, the coverage at the moment of the crop, and the determination of the green and dry matter forage production as well as relation leaf / stem and the forage crude protein. The results indicate that the T3 obtained the major height of plants in centimeters with 58,65 cm, as well as production of green matter and dry matter with 6513 kg.ha-1 and 1772 kg.ha-1, respectively. As for soil coverage, the crude protein and leaf / stem relation they did not present significant differences between the treatments
