Abstract

ZAYAS ROTELA, Isabelino; LEGUIZAMONROJAS, Carlos Andrés  and  LOPEZ PORTILLO, Justo. Maize - Cajanus cajan association in an alfisol of Paraguarí. Management and the potential contribution of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Investig. Agrar. [online]. 2010, vol.12, n.1, pp.23-28. ISSN 2305-0683.

The objective of research was evaluate the effect of conduct in the association maize – Cc potential adduce of N P K to soil. The experiment was carried out in experimental plot of Project JIRCAS, Paraguarí country Paraguay, between the months of October of 2009 and May 2010. The design used was randomized complete block with five treatments and three replications. The treatment were established according to the time of sowing Cc, 20 days before sowing maize (AM) simultaneous sowing with maize (SM) 20 days after maize sowing (PM), 60 days after maize sowing (recommended time MR) and sowing of maize without Cc, cuts are made of Cc in the vegetative stage in the first three treatments. The maize was sowed with spacing of 0,80 m between rows and 0,3 m between plants, in the treatments associated was sowed two rows of Cc. Evaluated variables were: maize production, maize growth and development and Cc, N-P-K of concentration in Cc. Treatment MR bad the highest grain yield, showing a positive interaction between maize and Cc. In treatments AM y SM yield decreased dry matter yield and cereal grain. The potential contribution of N-P-K of and dry matter was highest in treatment with cull of Cc in vegetative stage
