AGUAYO TRINIDAD, Simeón; ORREGO FUENTE, Aida Lorenza  e  RODRIGUEZ ESPINOLA, Hugo Nicasio. Incidence, severity and chemical control of asian rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi Sydow) in soybean conventional cultivars. Investig. Agrar. [online]. 2010, vol.12, n.1, pp.11-16. ISSN 2305-0683.

The soybean (Glycine max L) is the Paraguay more important agricultural crop for export and the cultivation present problems for the attack of the soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhiziSydow), for which  informations mustbe generated that permit counteract the effects of the illness. To evaluate the chemical incidence, severity and control of this illness in conventional soybean crops were implanted two experiments in Yguazú, between October 2009 to February 2010, in random blocks design with four repetitions. The experiment 1, studied  the incidence and severity of the soybean rust in five conventional variety and in the experiment 2, the control of the soybean rust with different fungicides in a factorial system 3 x 4, by evaluating  two products (Azoxystrobin + Ciproconazole  and Flutriafol ) and a witness in four variety’s (YG – 03; YG – 06; YG – 10 YG e – 11 ). The five conventional variety’s of evaluated soybean presented incidence of the soybean rust, being the YG – 03 of minor incidence with a mean of 65%; as well for the severity index. The fungicide Azoxystrobin + Ciproconazole and Flutriafol induced minor index severity, with independent effect to the variety in studies
