Resumen

MEDINA PARIENTE, Nury Madeleyne  y  HEREDIA LLATAS, Flor Delicia. Work environment in public health servers in Latin America. A literary review. Rev. Int. Investig. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2023, vol.19, n.1, pp.55-68. ISSN 2226-4000.  https://doi.org/10.18004/riics.2023.junio.55.

The objective of this review article is to determine, through a database, the level of the work climate of health personnel from public institutions in Latin America, generated through scientific publications from 2019 to 2022. The research is of descriptive quantitative character. A total of 1,069,976 articles found were obtained, leaving 12 articles through systematic purification as the final result. The results of this article show that, at the Latin American level, in eight of them (three from Mexico, two from Peru, two from Ecuador and one from Brazil) health professionals perceive an inadequate work environment, unlike the four remaining investigations (one from Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Chile) that perceive an optimal work environment. And the factors that affect the work environment in health personnel as identified public servants are, in the first place, the remuneration factor, inadequate decision making, lack of leadership, lack of recognition and outstanding achievements.

Palabras clave : Work environment; organizational climate; job perception; health professionals..
