The research describes the Corporate Social Responsibility of the commercial sector of the city of Pilar, for which a descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective research was carried out, with a quantitative approach. Thirteen companies considered as large taxpayers were studied, according to data from accounting studies in the city. The questionnaire of Ethos Indicators of Corporate Social Responsibility (2005) was applied, aimed at business administrators and employees. The results obtained showed that there are no promotional activities about CSR at the local level, therefore there is little knowledge about the subject, resulting in a culture of low priority to act on it, despite the fact that the respondents consider that companies have the money and the human talent necessary to participate in social actions.
