Abstract

This article describes the experience in development, and therefore with partial achievements, of the Universidad Autónoma de Asunción as an institution of higher education (IES), within the framework of an Erasmus project that forms an integrated network of European and Latin American institutions according to an innovation program for the teachers` training. Governance and politics, social dimension, curricular pertinence and teaching innovation, make up the four dimensions that, as transversal axes, are considered to build collaboratively and with the exchange of experiences among all the members of the network, as contributions to expand, include and improve the achievements in teachers` training at all levels. For the case of the UAA, in the case of university teaching mainly of educational methodology, and in the postgraduate courses in the area of education, considering specializations, masters and doctorates. The orientation of the project is from a systemic approach, with mixed methodological procedures, that integrate research, with training and action, in a collaborative manner and exchange of experiences. The curricular adjustments, according to the consideration of the situational contexts of each IES, as well as the profile of the new educators, as well as the training of trainers are part of the results achieved and in process.
