Abstract

The main objective of this study was to analyze the results of the Índice de Desenvolvimento da EducaçãoBásica - IDEB 2009 to 2015, in terms of the efficiency of the “Projeto Escola Eficiente: Ler e Escrever para Protagonizar”. A mixed, descriptive, comparative research was carried out, based on the data collected by the documentary analysis technique, and the data provided by the IDEB. The results were analyzed using the objectives of this Project from the notebook. We describe and compare the results released by the IDEB referring to the students of municipal schools Mauriti - Ceará. It was verified that the development of this project generated a significant increase in the IDEB index of the schools investigated with the Portuguese domain, whose activities were satisfactorily achieved by the students. The application and development of the Project coincide with the period of greatest performance in the Portuguese language, which launches the IDEB, whose actors considered beneficial to the activities of the Project.
