This paper's is meant to describe the reaches of Citizen Journalism in the Paraguayan digital society (2016), and uses two published examples as study references inwhich citizens made a great impact on the Internet. The goal is to identify the measures taken by the government agencies and the citizen's reaction after the broadcast of audiovisual journalistic pieces. Citizen journalism is a new way to inform, in which citizens are protagonists, sources and producers of information and communication. The analysis units are the following: "Security guard faints from hunger in Asuncion" (July, 2016) and "Rats roams through food in a Don Vito restaurant" (August, 2016). According to the statistics, 91,6%of the paraguayan population connects to the internet from mobile phones; the main reason whycitizens shares publications of general interest that demonstrates with facts what is happening every day thus achieving the visibility of the governmental agencies to resolve the problems as evidenced by the cases in this study.
