Abstract
LOPEZ, María Paz. Disciplinary and institutional dimensions of international practices of researchers. Case study in an argentinian university. Rev. Int. Investig. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2016, vol.12, n.1, pp.3-14. ISSN 2226-4000. https://doi.org/10.18004/riics.2016.julio.3-14.
This article analyzes international practices of researchers. From the theoretical point of view it contemplates multiple international practices in the field of research. From the literature review recovers two analytical dimensions -discipline and institutional- to explain these practices. From an empirical point of view it carries out a qualitative research on the level of research institutes and researchers who work in them. More precisely, it develops a case study at the Institute of Physics of the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires in Argentina, between 1993 and 2014. The semi-structured interviews developed among the physicist of the Institute constitute the sources of data collection. The results indicate the importance of considering the particular international practices of physicists, in light of both mentioned dimensions. That is, disciplinary and institutional peculiarities of the physicist studied.
