This research presents a study on the characteristics of the profile of the researchers categorized in the National advice of Science and Technology (CONACYT) of Paraguay. It has done work with Incentive Program (PRONII) of CONACYT researchers in the year 2011. The aim of this study to characterize the profile of researchers categorized in PRONII in the CONACYT. The methodology includes the non-experimental design, descriptive desing, cross-sectional, with mixed approach. The population consists of 238 in total of researchers categorized in PRONII in the CONACYT, being the sample 146 researchers. Based on the results it was observed that researchers predominantly show personal dimension, it is starting up the tradition of research, the scientific production and the satisfaction at being categorized as researchers in their country.
