Abstract

PEREZ BERNARDES DE MORAES, Thiago  and  MOTTINHA SANTOS, Romer. The protests in Brazil. A study on the pattern of web searches and the Brazilian spring case. Rev. Int. Investig. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2013, vol.9, n.2, pp.193-206. ISSN 2226-4000.

June 2013 became known as the "Brazilian Spring", on account of a huge wave of protests, without precedent in history. It seems that such a move has taken body, particularly on the dynamics of social networks. In this work we use two tools, Google Trends and IceRocket, Meltwalter to test the frequency of certain terms related to the protests and the same tariffs on Google search and the input frequency of the same terms in Blogs in June 2013 period. Both the input frequency on blogs, and Google searches, was greater for the keyword protests than for variables bound tariffs policies.Thanking you in advance all the attention. Attached two other unpublished articles submission that would like to submit an assessment for possible publication.

Keywords : Brazilian Spring; protests; computational social science.
