Abstract: The political situation of the country is tied to its social reality, particularly, with the violence of social inequality, expressed through poverty indicators. Political violence constitute  an inevitable expression of conflicts; historically and structurally ignored and accumulated, with an absence of the State and government policies (public-social) that not only shows a gap, but also defines an orientation, a maintenance position of certain social order and privileges of certain groups, sectors and social classes. Violence is and is done this way, also cultural and symbolic, legitimizing and legalizing an unequal social order. Curuguaty, impeachment, international sovereignty, police and peasants killed, political situation today and looking at the elections of 2013. Without a national project in the horizon, the role of the University is problematized to assume without delays its fundamental historical role as voice and civil society actor, involved in building proposals from knowledge that is produced in its nature of production.
