Resumen

Abstract: To describe the processes of innovation in family-owned businesses in the area T of Paraguay belonging to the category pharmacist, sustained in the indicators and measurement procedures established innovation Bogotá Manual. A sample of the target a total of 41 pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies relatives among laboratories located in the Alto Paraná. About innovation activities carried out by the pharmaceutical sector in Paraguay, you can access two conclusions: first, that the acquisition of capital goods contributes in improving processes, and this in turn leads to businesses to improve its cost competitiveness. The second is that the performance of R & D is an indication of product differentiation, thus, companies that chose this innovation generate a sustainable competitive advantage and cumulative, which affects the function and performance of the company and allows improving staff qualifications. In this case, large companies are cutting that showed greater effort in R & D, which is checked against the parameters of other countries.
