Blood samples were extracted from the jugular vein which were deposited in red cap without (EDTA) collecting tubes, identified, refrigerated at 4oC and sent to a private laboratory where they were analyzed by the ELISA competition method for diagnosis, with the following results found: 15% (15 samples) of the total were positive, and 85% of negative samples. The distribution of positive animals by category and establishment was: 8% (8 samples) of category dried cows corresponding to establishment 1, 6% (6 samples) of the heifer category, tested positive at establishment 2; and 1% (1 sample) category bulls tested positive in establishment 3, taking into account for the calculations the total samples.
