ABSTRACT. With the objective of evaluating the mineral biochemical profile in pregnant and empty zebu cross cows in an establishment in Caraguatay (Paraguay) in 2019, blood samples were extracted from 50 cows, of which 26 were pregnant and 24 were empty. The serum concentrations of the minerals calcium, inorganic phosphate and magnesium were determined by photometry. The values btained yielded the following results: calcium values were lower (p = 0.01) in pregnant cows (9.3 mg / dL) than in empty cows (10.8 mg / dL). Inorganic phosphate and magnesium values were 7.2 mg / dL and 2.8 mg / dL in pregnant cows and 6.9 mg / dL and 2.6 mg / dL in empty cows, with no significant differences when comparing both states. reproductive (p = 0.47; p = 0.14 respectively). The calcium: phosphorus ratio was 1.3: 1 and 1.6: 1 in pregnant and empty cows. The empty cows presented lower body condition than the pregnant ones (p = 0.02). It is concluded that there was no deficiency of the minerals studied, probably due to the use of oral and parenteral mineral supplements.
