In the "Prof. Dr. José Vicente Núñez" Veterinary Hospital at the School of Veterinary Sciences of the National University of Asuncion, located in the City of San Lorenzo, Central Department, Republic of Paraguay, the research work was carried out in order to determine the frequency of bacterial microorganisms isolated from canine patients with diarrhea that came to the Veterinary Hospital in 2018. The study included 26 animals of the canine species with clinical symptoms of diarrhea. The results revealed that out of all 26 dogs sampled (100%), 23 (88%) of the samples were positive for the bacterial culture. Of these 23 samples, 28 isolations were obtained, 18 were pure cultures and 5 were mixed cultures. Of the 28 isolations, 23 (82%) were Escherichia coli, Campylobacter spp. was identified in 3 (11%), and in the last 2 (7%) Salmonella spp.
