Abstract

SUPPLEMENTATION EFFECT OF CORN, AND BALANCED A PROTEIN MINERAL SALT ON WEIGHT GAIN IN EVERYDAY IN STEERS FED ON CULTIVATED PASTURES (Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandú and cv Mg4). This study was conducted in order to evaluate the effect of different types of supplements on daily weight gain of desmamantes fed supplementers with Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandú and Mg4, at Borja District, Guairá Department, Republic of Paraguay. Treatment 1 (Control): For the effect 3 groups or lots distributed randomly were formed 15 animals grazing (Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandu and MG4), supplemented with mineral salt ad libitum; Treatment 2 (T2): 15 animals to pasture (Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandu and MG4), supplemented with a Protein mineral salt (1 g / kg of P.V.) and maize (0.5% pv); Treatment 3 (T3): 15 animals to pasture (Brachiaria brizantha cv Marandu and MG4), supplemented with commercial feed (1% P.V.) more mineral supplement ad libitum. The daily weight gain per treatment was: T1 = -0.05 kg; T2 = 0.38 kg and T3= 0.55 kg, the difference between treatments statistically significant (p <0.05) in favor of T3.
