HARASYMOWYCZ, J et al. OVARIAN RESPONSE TO SUPEROVULATORY TREATMENT WITH CONSTANT AND DECREASING FSHp DOSE ASSESSED BY LAPAROSCOPIC IN TEXEL CROSSBRED SHEEP. Compend. cienc. vet [online]. 2014, vol.4, n.1, pp.19-23. ISSN 2226-1761.
ABSTRACT. This study was conducted in Altos District, Cordillera Department (58° Latitude, 26° Longitude) Paraguay. The objective was to evaluate laparoscopically two superovulation protocols effects over ovarian response, one at decreasing doses (DEC) and another by constant dose (CON) using porcine follicle stimulating Hormone (FSHp). Texel crossbred sheep (n = 10) were randomly divided into two groups. Sheep were subjected to estrus synchronization treatment prior to superovulatory treatment start, afterwards natural mating service was performed with approved andrological examination rams. In the DEC group, 92 corpus luteum (CL) was obtained, with an average of 18.4 CL per animal; while lot CON, 61 CL was obtained, with an average of 12.2 CL per animal. These results were statistically significant in favor to superovulation treatment with decreasing doses (p <0,05)
