Resumen
GIMENEZ SENA, Fernando. Modelling approach to Count data analysis: Number of musculoskeletal conditions and associated factors in nursing professionals. Rep. cient. FACEN [online]. 2022, vol.13, n.2, pp.91-113. ISSN 2222-145X. https://doi.org/10.18004/rcfacen.2022.13.2.91.
Work related ailments are a cause of growing concern. Nursing workers are particularly prone to musculoskeletal conditions. A study at the Hospital de Clinicals in San Lorenzo found an association between the type of work shoes used and the number of pathologies per individual. With the same data, from a cross- sectional study of 345 units, using models for count data, other factors that could be associated are investigated. It is found that there is indeed an association between the type of footwear and the number of pathologies. But, by incorporating individual factors, such as sex and age, and employment factors, such as seniority and number of shifts attended, the effect of footwear type dilutes completely.
