The study of the school movement of a city is important, because it affects decision-making about priorities in each district and education constitutes an area of preponderance at the country level. In this context, the records of students of two levels of instruction in the third cycle and secondary education in a period of 10 years (2008 - 2017) using data belonging to the Ministry of Education and Science, Paraguay, were considered. The objective of this research was to determine the number of enrolled and graduates in the institutions of basic and secondary education in the municipality of Capiatá analyzing a total of 1012 institutions of the official sector, 236 private institutions and 133 subsidized private institutions. It was found that in this period of time 113553 students and 88758 students in secondary education were enrolled in the city in the third cycle of basic education, there were also 28807 graduates in the third cycle and 20442 students graduated in education half. It was found that there is a statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) between the number of enrolled students and the number of graduates according to the level of education in the municipality of Capiatá.
