In this research work, a kinetic study was performed, degradation of two antimicrobials in soil and compost from sewage sludge and mixture of both matrices. Ultrasound extraction (USE) technique was used to separate the analytes from the matrices involved and were detected and quantified by Ultrapressure Liquid Chromatography (UPLC) coupled to Mass Spectrometry in Tandem (MS/MS, QqQ). The treatment consisted of adding the contaminants manually and irrigating the parcels with well water. Two different soil conditions were fixed: Parcel 1 (P1), soil with pure pollutants applied directly to soil, Plot 2 (P2), soil amended with compost and contaminated with Triclosán (TCS) and Triclocarban (TCB). The degradation kinetics was evaluated in P1 and P2 at different depths (2, 10, 20, 30, 60 cm) along time (0, 15 and 30 days) were observed to be adjusted to an exponential kinetics of first-order (C=Co·e-k.t). In P1, the TCS was retained and degraded on the surface (2 cm) with a half-life (t1/2) 214.6 h, while the TCB was detected in the first 50 cm. In P2 the TCS also disappears completely in this area with a half-life (t1/2) of 146.5 h and as in P2 the TCB leaches up to 50 cm. As a general conclusion, it is observed that half-life times are higher in the experimental conditions of the parcel P1. From the environmental point of view, the amendment of agricultural soils with compost is very beneficial because it provides organic matter, which favors the growth of microorganisms that causes an acceleration in the biodegradation of the studied compounds and preventing their leaching at greater depths.
