Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to contribute to the control of water pollution, especially by the contamination of liquid effluents (streams) without treatment, causing the degradation and contamination of watercourses. So the research work is titled The importance of control and monitoring of the water quality of the Paraguay river for development and national defense. The objective of the research work is to analyze the problem of the importance of Control and Monitoring of the water quality of the Paraguay River for Development and National Defense. The research carried out has based its search on observation; verification and field work (Sampling and Analysis) of the factors that will help define and sustain the research. The lack of a system or program of permanent control and monitoring, that allows to evaluate the quality of the waters of the Paraguay River, for human consumption. The methodology used for the investigation is the descriptive one. In conclusion we can infer that the effluents that reach the Paraguay River are contaminated, so we can mention that there is a weak institutional capacity to comply with the laws and this is compounded by the lack of effective public policies, in this way we reflect, that if the water we drink is safe and potable, this being a free service.
