ROJAS, Hugo A.. CALIDAD DE AGUA DEL EMBALSE DE YACYRETÁ EN LA COTA DE 76 METROS SOBRE EL NIVEL DEL MAR. Rep. cient. FACEN [online]. 2010, vol.1, n.1, pp.40-55. ISSN 2222-145X.

The present work consists of a water quality study of the Yacyretá reservoir at 76 masl. For this cause, data we obtained as from the formation of the dam, May 1994, and the data available in files, from 1983-1990, in their spatio-temporal evolution, were used. A basic descriptive statistical method, statistical inference, was employed and the Seasonal Kendall Tendency test was applied for the tendency study. Results of the analyses are shown in the form of comparative tables, evolution graphs and tendency calculations, relating to the param-eters in situ, Salinity- and Nutrient ions, developed independently for two stations of the main course, Pto. Franco and Pto. Candelaria, and finally related to the Yacyretá System. The changes noted in the conditions from river to reservoir, are defined in the following way: "highly significant decrease" in oxygen at the Entrance to the System, "not significant" at the Center of the lake and far downstream from the System. Without changes in pH, and "highly significant increase" in conductivity and "highly significant decrease" of the turbidity between the three stations. Without changes in the total alkalinity, "significant increase" of the chloride at the Center of the lake only, and "significant increase" in sulfate over the whole System. "No significant changes" in calcium and magnesium for the three stations. "Significant increase" in sodium and potassium over the whole System, "significant decrease" in ammonium-N and nitrate-N over the three stations. And "significant increase" in organic N and silica, at the Center of the lake and way out of the System.
