Abstract

The aim of the present inquiry is to describe the management of academic knowledge in the Career of Administration in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Asunción, in particular the selection, organization, use and creation of knowledge in the classes, from the perspective of the students of the 6th semester, 2017. A quantitative approach was adopted. The data were collected from the university campus and the subsidiaries of Caacupé, Paraguarí and Villa Hayes, based on questionnaires. The main results: the selection of knowledge is guided by the program of study, the main source of content is the basic and complementary bibliography, students use e-mail and WhatsApp groups to manage knowledge, the use of the Scientific Journal Population and Development for learning is limited. The knowledge creation activities that students perform in the class are monographs, conceptual maps and research protocols. Students do not participate in networks and make limited use of their work knowledge in the classes.
