Being a professional is the desire of every student but few finish their studies and it is due to different factors. The present investigation was developed with the objective of determining the number of students of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Asuncion that culminated the Administration Career - Curricular Plan 2001, in the morning shift during the period 2011 - 2016, for the the methodology used was mixed because qualitative and quantitative information was linked, applying different sources and techniques of data selection. This study raised and analyzed the problem, at the same time exposed the levels of the work in a descriptive and explanatory way because it tries to demonstrate the causes by which the students enrolled in 2011 did not finish their university studies in the 2016 period.Based on the observations and measurements, the main finding was the labor insertion factor of the students during the first years of study, so many of them moved to the shift late or night, as a result, the decrease in the amount of the students of the morning shift of the Administration Course. Therefore, it is recommended to maintain and strengthen the mechanisms available to the School of Administration in order to retain students. It is fundamental to mention that the wealth of the results obtained will serve the School of Administration for other research works of greater importance.
