Abstract

Pancreaticoduodenectomy is the procedure of choice for the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the periampullary region. A review of 14 patients present with jaundice diagnosed neoplastic. There was a high incidence of postoperative morbidities: gastroparesis (78.5%), pancreatic fistula (64.2%), anastomotic dehiscence (42.8%), death (21.4%).
