RESUMEN A todo tipo de lesión de contenido líquido se lo denomina quiste y cuando asienta en el hígado se denominan quistes hepáticos. Los quistes del hígado son de origen congénito, generalmente asintomáticos, pero que en ocasiones pueden ser de gran tamaño, volverse sintomáticos y requerir un tratamiento quirúrgico. Con el objetivo de analizar los resultados obtenidos en el manejo laparoscópico de los quistes hepáticos, se presenta un estudio descriptivo de corte trasverso sobre los 16 pacientes diagnosticados con quiste hepático ingresados en el Servicio de Cirugía General del Hospital Nacional.[abstract language=es] Palabras claves: hígado, quiste hepático, manejo   [abstract language=en]ABSTRACT All types of lesion containing fluids are called cyst and when are located in the liver are called hepatic cysts. Liver cysts are congenital in origin, usually asymptomatic, but can occasionally be large, become symptomatic, but can occasionally be large, become symptomatic and require surgical treatment. With the aim to analysing the results of laparoscopic management of hepatic cysts, we presents a transversal cross sectional descriptive study of 16 patients diagnosed with liver cyst admitted to the General Surgery Service of the National Hospital.
