RIVEROS, Julio. Perinatal outcomes in premature rupture of membranes. Rev. Nac. (Itauguá) [online]. 2011, vol.3, n.1, pp.35-41. ISSN 2072-8174.
Introduction: The spontaneous and premature rupture of membranes involved maternal and neonatal risks. Materials and Methods: We performed a retrospective, observational, cross sectional transverse to determinethe prevalence of RPM in the Regional Hospital Caacupé during the years 2007 to 2009. The study included patients with RPM pregnancy culminating in the institution, had singleton pregnancies and gestational age between 28 and 34 weeks. Results: The prevalence was 23%. No relationship was found between antibiotic use and the presence of infectious diseases in the newborn, nor between the use of corticosteroids and neonatal pulmonary complications. It is important to identify risk factors to prevent this patology.
