Rhabdomyolysis is a clinical syndrome caused by myocyte injury and the release of its cellular content into the extracellular space and blood circulation. It is manifested by acute muscle pain and weakness, malaise, fever, and dark urine. The diagnosis is made by the clinical manifestations and the dosage of the cytosolic substances released.
We present the case of a young man who developed an acute picture of generalized myalgia and muscle weakness of the lower limbs coinciding with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
