ABSTRACT Bioethics, ethics applied to the topics of life and health, is born in order to humanize science, to give philosophical and anthropologic foundation to the dignity of the person facing the intensive advance of the science. Today, bioethics tries to enter social and political area to put in the center of the discussions on having been a person and to create a culture of justice in Latin America, which would facilitate equity, the protection and empowerment of the most impoverished and isolated sectors of population.
